Stats and Stories

Ansley's 2 month stats:

Weight-- 10 lbs. 15 oz.
Height-- 23 inches long

She is such a smily little girl! & sleeping 5-7 hours at night ;)
I feel so spoiled because Avery didn't sleep 5 consecutive hours, especially at night until SEVERAL months after she was born!!!

Today when Joey got home from school he really wanted to go play 9 holes here at the golf course we live on, especially since the weather has been so nice, and its dirt cheap to play a really nice course! Avery insisted on going with him (like normal) and so Daddy agreed to take her. >>Fast forward --I'm feeding Ansley when they get home and Joey has this look on his face (one that I can tell something went wrong)... Joey explained that while he was on the 8th tee box waiting for the group in front of him to finish, he had his back to the cart with Avery in it. This was at least her 4th time going to play golf with him so he thought she'd be fine. He was gearing up to tee off (with his back towards her) and next thing he knew he heard the brake release on the golf cart... Avery was sitting up on the steering column backwards and the cart was headed straight for the steep down hill that leads to the water/pond. He said he kinda jogged her way and told her to take her foot off of the gas but at this point she had unintentionally pushed the gas to the floor from being scared. --While he is telling this part Avery then looks at me to tell me "Mom, I was driving the golf cart backwards"-- Joey said his heart was racing and he quickly dropped his club and took off running for the cart! He said he was able to catch the cart and stop it about 30-40 ft away from the hill. Joey said if the cart would have gotten to the hill it would have either rolled and tumbled down the hill throwing Avery from it, or just taken off down the hill with no chance to catch it before crashing into the water. (Man I wish I would've been there to see it and the looks on their faces and the people around them...hehehe) Easy for me to laugh since they are both home safe and sound as he tells me... Avery, what are we going to do with her?!?!

"Dad, Mommy can't know how to count!" -- Tonight Joey and I were discussing when Ansley's next check up will be. Joey asked me what months they go in at and I replied, " I think 1, 2, 4, 6, & 12." Avery not even a second later piped in, "no mom its 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12" and then said to Joey, "Dad, Mom can't know how to count!"

Avery Madison

Avery turned 3 today -- 4:20am to be exact!
Although she is a challenge for daddy and myself with her strong-willed and independent attitude she brings so much joy to our home! Happy Birthday Avery!!!
A few of her favs:
tea parties, doing hair and makeup (putting it on herself and others), shopping (even if its just to the grocery store), SHOES, Little Einsteins, Dora the Explorer, and Family and Friends!

Also if you are ever in the car with us, you would undoubtedly hear her sing all the words to the Georgia Bulldogs Fight Song, most Justin Beieber Hannah Montana and Taylor Swift songs sung very LOUDLY! She cracks me up!


She is also a WONDERFUL and HELPFUL big sister!
For her birthday her cousins and Aunt Jill and Aunt Kimi came to visit from Georgia
While Kimi and I were setting up for her party Joey and Jill took the kids for a stroll at the Dam Bridge
I incorporated her favorites... (although by the looks of rocket you can tell I'm not a pro)
She loved it and had TONS of FUN!!!
When I tucked her in that night for bed I asked her what her favorite part was and she said, "my friends here!" I responded, "you mean your cousins?" and she told me they are her friends too! I love that she loves her cousins so much because so many of my favorite memories growing up include my cousins too! This sums up Avery she is such a social butterfly and loves being with family and friends.

She loves shoes, but lately all she wants to wear with most outfits are boots!
The next day she decided we should go swimming. I found this old school place online when I googled 'inexpensive water park in Little Rock'. This place was interesting but FUN to say the least and we had to fight the kids to leave! The kids wore this slide out! Tonight we took Avery to eat at her place of choice and of course she picked Chick-Fil-A! I think she had a great birthday and we sure love her!

To top things off the Bulldogs had an impressive win over the Ragin' Cajuns. Yes, yes they are just a no name team but it was still a pretty win! Excited for this weekend and might I add we are liking what we see so far with this new defensive coordinator (Cowboys old d-line coach)!
